Dual-Mode GPS SkyRouter Application

Ctek’s Dual-mode GPS application turns any Ctek SkyRouter into just that, a box full of GPS capabilities to address almost any application requirement. The Dual-Mode application derives its name from the fact that it operates with any external GPS module and can also take advantage of the in-built GPS receiver found in selected SkyRouter modules. But that’s just the input side of this powerful application.
The Dual-Mode application is capable of simultaneously acting as an application client for remote AVL and LBS applications, and a application server for local or remote applications that would normally be directly connected to a GPS module. Using a service van as an example headquarters would be able to position any vehicle in the fleet at the same time a driver was mapping a route to a customer that avoided a delay caused by a recent collision. In-vehicle mapping, central site tracking and vehicle-to-vehicle positioning are all possible with the features of this powerful application, and they are all possible at the same time. |
